Privacy policy

What data we keep

• Your account: your email and password (the password is stored encrypted; no one can see it).
• Your purchases: which module you bought, when, the amount, the tax and the date your access expires.
• Your study progress: which questions you marked as “I know it” and the scores and dates of your practice tests. If you have an account, it is saved there so you can see it on any device. If you don't have an account, it stays only in your browser.
• Reminders: if you turn on the daily reminder, we keep the technical address your browser provides to receive notifications, the time you chose, your time zone and the reminder type. You can turn it off at any time; it is also deleted when you log out on that device.
• MVC Steps Center: which documents you marked as ready and the answers you gave (e-bike type, your situation for the car license). If you have an account, it is saved there; if not, only in your browser. We do not keep copies of your documents.
• Practice log: your permit date, whether you are 21 or older, and each practice session you log (date, duration, night minutes, the supervisor name you enter and your notes). If you have an account, it is saved there; if not, only in your browser.
• If you tell us you passed (the “Tell us” button): the permit, which try you passed on and, if you wish, your name and a comment. All of it is optional. We only publish your comment (on the site or on social media) if you check the box that authorizes it.

What we do NOT keep

We do not see or keep your card details. Payment is processed by Stripe, which receives your card and billing address (needed to calculate sales tax) under its own privacy policy.

Who we share data with

Only with the services that make the site work:

• Supabase: accounts and purchase records.
• Stripe: payments and taxes.
• Cloudflare: site hosting, email and visit statistics. The statistics are anonymous and cookie-free: they count visits, pages, country and device type, without identifying you.

We do not sell your data. If we show ads in the future, we will say so here and ask for your permission when the law requires it.

What we use your data for

To give you access to what you bought, process refunds, meet tax obligations and reply if you write to us. We may send you emails about your account or purchase (for example, a password change or a notice that the service is closing).

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. We keep purchase records for as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by writing to [email protected] from your account email. Deleting your account also deletes your study progress. Purchase records are kept only as long as tax law requires.

Your study progress is used only to show it to you and, in aggregate and without identifying anyone, to learn which topics are hardest and improve the content. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.

Minors

The e-bike/moped permit in NJ is available from age 15. If you are under 18, ask your parent or guardian to make the purchase.
